Our client is seeking an M&A associate to join its Costa Mesa team, with a focus on representing companies in strategic acquisitions. The practice handles engagements ranging from routine transactions to complex, transformational deals, supported by global reach, deep deal experience, and industry-specific knowledge.
The Work
- Represent companies in mergers and acquisitions, with particular focus on strategic acquisitions and the business objectives driving each transaction.
- Contribute to transaction work from planning through execution, helping address deal challenges and support effective outcomes for company clients.
- Work across a range of M&A engagements, from routine transactions to complex and transformational matters.
- Gain exposure to sophisticated transactions handled across the broader practice, including cross-border carve-outs, tax-free spinoffs, and multi-billion-dollar going-private deals.
- Support matters that may involve shareholder activism, antitrust challenges, or changing regulatory requirements, drawing on the broader team's advisory capabilities.
What You Bring
- At least two full years of experience in mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience representing companies in M&A matters, particularly strategic acquisitions.
- Experience appropriate for consideration in the 3rd through 6th year associate class.
- Ability to contribute to transaction work and help clients navigate deal-related challenges.
- Interest or experience in complex transactions, including cross-border matters, is relevant to the practice's work.
