Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–6 years of experience to support its Washington, D.C. labor and employment litigation practice. The role combines litigation support with strategic advice on workplace-law issues and calls for meaningful labor and employment experience, strong research and writing skills, and stellar academic credentials.
The Work
- Support the labor and employment group’s litigation practice through legal research and written analysis on employment-related matters.
- Contribute to strategic advice for clients addressing workplace-law questions, including wage-and-hour compliance and employee relations.
- Help assess and mitigate legal risk arising from workplace practices, employment agreements, and reductions in force.
- Work on matters involving ADA requirements and workplace accommodations, applying relevant federal and state labor and employment laws.
- Assist with analysis of employment-related policies and the legal considerations involved in developing or reviewing workplace practices.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of experience, including meaningful labor and employment litigation experience.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state labor and employment laws.
- Experience advising on workplace-law issues, including wage-and-hour compliance, employee relations, or risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with employment agreements, reductions in force, ADA and workplace accommodations, and employment-related policies.
- Stellar academic credentials.
