Our client is seeking a Boston-based associate with 3–6 years of experience to advise healthcare and life sciences companies and investors on reimbursement and regulatory issues, while contributing to transactions involving innovative products, services, and businesses.
The Work
- Counsel healthcare and life sciences clients on reimbursement compliance, including coding, coverage, and payment considerations for novel products and services.
- Assess healthcare regulatory profiles in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, securities offerings, IPOs, financings, and venture capital investments; identify key risks and coordinate diligence with corporate teams and clients.
- Contribute to transactional documentation and negotiations, applying healthcare regulatory analysis to deals involving emerging companies, private equity, capital markets, and other sector participants.
- Advise on regulatory aspects of commercial arrangements, including agreements involving providers, payors, manufacturers, distributors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Support clients on fraud and abuse counseling and compliance, as well as related regulatory matters involving data privacy and security, licensure, government pricing, and transparency.
What You Bring
- At least three years of healthcare regulatory experience, with experience advising on reimbursement matters.
- Knowledge of reimbursement compliance and coding, coverage, and payment issues involving novel products or services.
- Experience conducting transactional due diligence and working on deal documentation and negotiations.
- Exposure to healthcare transactions such as emerging-company or private equity deals, M&A, or capital markets matters.
- Fraud and abuse counseling and compliance experience is preferred.
- Outstanding analytical and writing skills, and an interest in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced practice.
