Our client is seeking an associate with at least three years of healthcare regulatory experience to advise healthcare and life sciences clients on reimbursement challenges and the regulatory dimensions of significant business transactions in Washington, D.C.
The Work
- Advise on reimbursement compliance and on coding, coverage, and payment for novel healthcare products and services.
- Conduct and help manage healthcare regulatory due diligence for emerging-company, private equity, merger and acquisition, capital markets, financing, and venture capital transactions.
- Contribute to transaction documentation and negotiations, identifying material regulatory issues and working with deal teams and clients to address them.
- Assess healthcare and life sciences companies’ regulatory profiles and calibrate diligence to focus on significant risks across a wide range of transactions.
- Support negotiation and structuring of service, operating, technology, and other agreements involving providers, payors, manufacturers, distributors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Counsel clients across healthcare and life sciences, including companies, digital health and technology providers, and investors.
What You Bring
- At least three years of healthcare regulatory experience.
- Experience advising on reimbursement, including reimbursement compliance and coding, coverage, and payment issues involving novel products or services.
- Experience with transactional due diligence, deal documentation, and negotiation in areas such as emerging-company matters, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, or capital markets.
- Strong analytical and writing skills.
- Experience with fraud and abuse counseling and compliance is preferred.
- Interest in contributing to a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced healthcare and life sciences practice.
