Our client is seeking a Trade Secrets Associate to join its San Francisco team. This opportunity is for an attorney with 3–7 years of experience and a strong litigation background in complex trade secret, restrictive covenant, unfair competition, or other technology-related commercial disputes.
The Work
- Handle complex trade secret disputes, contributing to litigation strategy and case development.
- Work on restrictive covenant matters involving disputes over contractual restrictions.
- Address unfair competition claims and other technology-related commercial disputes.
- Draft substantive motions and develop clear, persuasive written arguments.
- Manage discovery in complex litigation, including coordinating and advancing discovery work.
- Take and defend depositions as part of the litigation process.
What You Bring
- Three to seven years of experience, including candidates in law school classes 2019 through 2023.
- Prior experience at a peer law firm is required.
- Strong experience handling complex litigation, particularly trade secret, restrictive covenant, unfair competition, or technology-related commercial disputes.
- Demonstrated ability to draft substantive motions and other persuasive legal writing.
- Experience managing discovery in litigation matters.
- Experience taking or defending depositions.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong writing skills.
- A technical or scientific background is valued but not required; judicial clerkship experience is also valued but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm-stated annual compensation range is $260,000–$420,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
