Position overview

Our client is seeking a 4–6 year associate in Seattle to work with technology companies at every stage of growth. The position combines hands-on commercial and intellectual property agreements with IP work on major multidisciplinary transactions, within an established national practice that is continuing to grow.

The Work

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate intellectual property and commercial agreements for information technology companies, including license, services, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
  • Work on the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, contributing IP transaction support to multidisciplinary deal teams.
  • Advise on IP matters connected to public offerings and financings, alongside other multidisciplinary transactions.
  • Handle a varied portfolio of technology-focused commercial and IP matters for companies at different stages of growth.
  • Contribute to the continued development of an established, dynamic national practice group.

What You Bring

  • Four to six years of experience, including experience in intellectual property transactions.
  • A strong interest in a practice focused on intellectual property and commercial transactions.
  • Experience or capability structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial and IP agreements.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach and interest in technology companies at all stages of growth.
  • A technical or science background is beneficial but not required; digital health experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $310,000–$390,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
