Position overview

Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to work with technology companies on important commercial and intellectual property matters. This opportunity combines hands-on agreement work with involvement in major multidisciplinary transactions and the chance to help grow an established national practice.

The Work

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate intellectual property and commercial agreements for information technology companies, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
  • Advise on intellectual property considerations within mergers and acquisitions, bringing the technology and IP work together with broader deal teams.
  • Contribute IP and commercial transaction support to public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions.
  • Work with a national group serving technology companies at different stages of growth and contribute to the development of an established practice.
  • Collaborate as part of a team that values associate training and the development of strong legal skills.

What You Bring

  • At least six years of legal experience, with a background in intellectual property transactions.
  • A strong interest in building a practice focused on intellectual property and commercial transactions.
  • Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial and IP agreements.
  • Ability to contribute to IP aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, or other multidisciplinary transactions.
  • Superior academic credentials and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach and interest in working as part of a national team; experience or interest in training associates is valued.
  • A technical or scientific background is beneficial but not required.
  • Digital health experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $390,000–$435,000, based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
