Position overview

Our client is seeking a Technology M&A Senior Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Technology M&A group in Redwood City. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to transactions as part of a team while independently managing components of deals and coordinating with clients and counsel.

The Work

  • Contribute to mergers and acquisitions for technology companies, working collaboratively with deal teams through transaction work.
  • Independently manage assigned components of transactions, taking ownership of discrete workstreams and moving them forward proactively.
  • Work on matters involving both early-stage and late-stage technology companies, gaining exposure to businesses at different points in their development.
  • Support leading venture capital investor clients on M&A matters involving the technology sector.
  • Manage relationships and communications with internal and external clients and counsel throughout transaction work.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of relevant legal experience, with significant experience working on mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience contributing effectively as part of a transaction team and managing components of deals independently.
  • Experience with transactions involving early-stage technology companies is preferred.
  • Experience with transactions involving late-stage technology companies is preferred.
  • Experience representing leading venture capital investor clients is preferred.
  • Proactive approach, strong business sense, and ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated base salary range is $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; it is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
