Our client is seeking a Tax Associate to join its growing tax team in Los Angeles. This opportunity is for associates in law school class years 2022 and above, with 1–4 years of experience and an interest in real estate matters, including REITs.
The Work
- Research technical tax-law questions and develop class-year-appropriate analysis for matters handled by the tax team.
- Contribute to tax work involving real estate, including matters concerning REITs.
- Analyze interesting, difficult, and sometimes novel tax problems, applying sound judgment and creative thinking.
- Prepare clear written analysis and other work product that reflects strong legal writing and attention to complex issues.
- Communicate tax analysis effectively in oral settings as required by the work.
What You Bring
- One to four years of experience, with eligibility for associates in law school class years 2022 and above.
- Class-year-appropriate understanding of technical tax law.
- Strong legal research skills and the ability to analyze tax issues.
- Experience with and a keen interest in real estate matters, including REITs.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to approach difficult or novel problems creatively.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $260,000–$420,000, with the amount offered depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
