Position overview

Our client’s national transactional tax practice advises technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises at every stage of development. The New York City opportunity combines sophisticated federal tax work with close collaboration across departments and exposure to a broad range of business transactions and commercial arrangements.

The Work

  • Support clients on federal tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and corporate finance matters.
  • Assist with tax considerations in equity financings and other transactions involving companies at different stages of growth.
  • Work on technology transfers, complex licensing arrangements, and collaborations, addressing tax issues as commercial relationships are structured.
  • Contribute to domestic and international tax planning for technology, life sciences, and growth-enterprise clients.
  • Partner across departments to support transactional matters and develop a broad, engaging practice.

What You Bring

  • Four to eight years of tax experience.
  • Experience with transactional tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, or corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of federal tax law and the ability to assist with domestic and international tax planning.
  • Experience or interest in equity financings, technology transfers, complex licensing, or collaboration arrangements.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $310,000–$435,000 based on year classification; discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
