Position overview

Our client is seeking an experienced transactional lawyer to join a sophisticated Los Angeles practice advising private equity funds and related investors. This opportunity offers hands-on responsibility for complex deals, close collaboration with senior lawyers, and direct engagement with clients across a broad range of investment activity.

The Work

  • Help lead platform and add-on acquisitions for private equity funds, independent sponsors, family offices, portfolio companies and strategic investors.
  • Manage key transaction workstreams, coordinate with clients and opposing counsel, and contribute to deal strategy and execution.
  • Advise on divestitures, exits, joint ventures, minority investments and other complex corporate transactions.
  • Counsel clients on governance and investor-relations matters arising from their investment activity.
  • Work on transactions across a national private equity platform with particular depth in healthcare private equity and independent sponsor matters.

What You Bring

  • Five to seven years of experience handling acquisitions for private equity funds and related investors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage significant aspects of transactions independently.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, including the ability to work through complex deal dynamics.
  • Sound business judgment and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, opposing counsel and senior lawyers.
  • Interest in using innovative technology, including Harvey AI, to improve legal service delivery.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $365,000–$415,000, with merit bonus opportunities, excellent benefits, billable-hours credit for pro bono work and a hybrid remote option.
