Our client is seeking an associate with 4–5 years of experience to join its growing Asset-Based Finance and Securitization Practice in Dallas. This is an opportunity to work on complex financings and securitizations, contribute to the growth of a strategically important practice, and take on meaningful responsibility as part of an integrated Capital Solutions team. The position requires in-person availability.
The Work
- Structure and execute traditional and bespoke asset-based financings and securitizations for private credit investors and other investors.
- Advise originators and issuers seeking private capital through securitizations, warehouse financings, and whole-loan sales.
- Draft transaction documents and take an active role in managing deal processes as a key member of transaction teams.
- Work across a broad range of asset classes, including consumer, commercial, infrastructure, hard assets, and esoteric assets.
- Contribute to transactions involving ABS, CLOs, CFOs, and rated facilities, depending on experience and matter needs.
- Coordinate with colleagues across fund finance, special situations, investment management, and private equity to address structuring, regulatory, tax, and governance considerations.
What You Bring
- Four to five years of substantive experience in structured finance, securitization, and/or asset-based structured finance.
- Experience serving as a key member of deal teams, with responsibility for transaction-document drafting and deal management.
- Knowledge of asset-based finance structures and securitization transactions.
- Experience with ABS, CLOs, CFOs, and/or rated facilities is preferred.
- Exposure to fund finance, special situations financings, private credit transactions, or in-court or out-of-court restructurings is helpful.
- Admission in good standing to the bar of the state in which the candidate intends to practice.
- Ability to work in person and assume increasing responsibility in a collaborative deal-team environment.
