Our client is seeking a mid-level to senior associate with four to five years of experience to join a growing Asset-Based Finance and Securitization Practice. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex financings and securitizations as part of an interdisciplinary capital solutions team, with increasing responsibility on client matters.
The Work
- Structure and execute traditional and bespoke asset-based financings and securitizations for private-credit investors and other clients.
- Advise originators and issuers seeking private capital through securitizations, warehouse financings and whole-loan sales.
- Draft transaction documents and manage deal processes as a key member of deal teams, coordinating the work needed to move transactions forward.
- Work on matters involving consumer, commercial, infrastructure, hard-asset and esoteric asset classes.
- Collaborate across capital solutions disciplines to address structuring, regulatory, tax and governance considerations in complex transactions.
- Contribute to a growing practice while taking on increasing responsibility in client-facing deal work.
What You Bring
- Four to five years of experience in structured finance, securitization and/or asset-based structured finance.
- Substantive familiarity with complex financing transactions and securitization structures.
- Experience drafting transaction documents and managing transactions as a key member of deal teams.
- Experience with ABS, CLOs, CFOs and/or rated facilities is preferred.
- Exposure to fund finance, special situations financings, out-of-court or in-court restructurings, and/or private-credit transactions is helpful.
- Admission to and good standing with the bar of the state in which you intend to practice.
- Ability to work in person, as required for this position.
- A self-starting approach, sound judgment and capacity to assume increasing responsibility for client work.
