Our client is seeking a mid-level to senior associate with four to five years of experience to join its fast-growing Asset-Based Finance and Securitization Practice in Washington, D.C. The practice is an important part of the firm’s Capital Solutions team and advises investors, originators, and issuers on complex asset-based transactions.
The Work
- Work with private credit and other investors to structure and execute traditional and bespoke asset-based financings and securitizations.
- Advise originators and issuers on accessing private capital through securitizations, warehouse financings, and whole loan sales.
- Draft transaction documents and manage deal processes as a key member of deal teams, taking on increasing responsibility.
- Handle transactions involving consumer, commercial, infrastructure, hard-asset, and esoteric collateral.
- Collaborate with colleagues across fund finance, special situations, investment management, and private equity to address structuring, regulatory, tax, and governance considerations.
- Engage with clients across the transaction lifecycle and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
What You Bring
- Four to five years of experience in structured finance, securitization, and/or asset-based structured finance.
- Admission to, and good standing with, the bar of the jurisdiction in which you intend to practice.
- Prior experience as a key member of deal teams, including responsibility for drafting transaction documents and managing transactions.
- Substantive knowledge of asset-based finance and securitization transactions.
- Experience with ABS, CLOs, CFOs, and/or rated facilities is preferred.
- Exposure to fund finance, special situation financings, out-of-court or in-court restructurings, and/or private credit transactions is helpful.
- Ability to work in person and to assume increasing responsibility in a collaborative practice.
