Our client is seeking a 5–7-year associate in Seattle to represent financial institutions, fintech companies, and other regulated entities in complex investigations and enforcement matters. The Work
- Represent financial institutions, fintech companies, and other regulated entities in investigations and enforcement matters involving federal and state agencies.
- Respond to government inquiries, civil investigative demands, subpoenas, and regulatory examinations, and prepare submissions and advocacy materials for regulators.
- Conduct internal investigations and help clients respond to regulatory scrutiny, including developing factual records and assessing enforcement exposure.
- Advise clients on regulatory risk and emerging enforcement trends, translating complex financial services requirements into practical risk-mitigation strategies.
- Prepare clients for regulatory meetings, investigations, and enforcement negotiations, and provide strategic guidance as matters develop.
- Support litigation and enforcement-related proceedings by managing discovery and document review and drafting motions, legal memoranda, and advocacy materials.
- Work closely with partners to manage matters and drive workstreams toward completion, while serving as a key member of client teams.
- Collaborate across financial services and fintech practices on regulatory and enforcement issues affecting shared clients.
What You Bring
- Five to seven years of legal experience in regulatory enforcement, investigations, or related litigation.
- Experience handling matters involving financial services regulators or government enforcement agencies.
- Strong analytical, research, and legal writing abilities, including experience preparing regulator-facing submissions or litigation materials.
- Ability to take ownership of key components of complex investigations and enforcement responses and manage matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to give clients practical advice on complex regulatory issues.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the appropriate state bar, or eligibility to obtain admission.
- Law firm experience advising financial institutions, fintech companies, or other regulated entities is preferred.
- Prior government experience is highly valued but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual salary range is $225,000–$330,000, with pay adjusted for job-related factors; eligible full-time employees may also receive an annual discretionary bonus and benefits.
