This Boston opportunity places you alongside corporate and transactional teams advising on how data is handled in consequential deals across artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, and fintech. Bring your transactional experience to issues that increasingly influence deal terms and client decisions.
The Work
- Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other commercial and strategic transactions.
- Work alongside corporate and transactional teams to identify data-related risks in live deals and explain their implications to deal teams and clients.
- Shape and negotiate data provisions that address how information moves, who controls it, and what happens when issues arise.
- Translate evolving regulatory developments into clear, practical guidance that helps clients and deal teams assess transaction risks.
- Support transactions involving companies in artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.
- Contribute transactional privacy judgment to matters where data questions can affect deal structure, terms, and execution.
What You Bring
- One to three years of legal experience, with meaningful exposure to transactional work.
- Experience in M&A, capital markets, or technology transactions.
- Ability to assess privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues in the context of a live transaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey regulatory issues clearly to clients and deal teams.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
- Regulatory policy or enforcement experience, or a CIPP certification, is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $225,000–$260,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
