Our client is seeking a junior or mid-level tax associate for a growing transactional practice in Redwood City. The role offers substantive involvement in tax-related transactions, including significant M&A work, alongside a globally collaborative tax team.
The Work
- Advise on tax issues arising in transactions, developing practical and commercially minded solutions for clients and deal teams.
- Contribute to significant M&A matters, addressing tax considerations as transactions progress.
- Work on transactional tax matters involving private equity funds, multinational and domestic corporations, financial institutions, joint ventures, emerging companies, and SPACs.
- Collaborate across offices and disciplines with tax lawyers on transaction-related questions and broader client needs.
- Support advice to a diverse client base that also includes tax-exempt organizations.
What You Bring
- At least two years of law-firm experience focused on tax-related transactional work.
- Significant experience advising on tax issues in M&A transactions.
- Experience addressing tax questions in a transactional setting.
- Ability to contribute practical, commercially oriented analysis and advice.
- Capacity to work collaboratively across teams, offices, and practice areas.
