Our client is seeking an experienced capital markets associate to join its Bay Area practice in Redwood City, with a focus on representing late-stage private companies. The work spans capital raising and public-market access, with exposure to complex securities and listing questions.
The Work
- Represent late-stage private companies in capital markets matters, helping clients evaluate and pursue ways to raise capital.
- Contribute to equity and debt capital-raising transactions involving issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks.
- Work on public-market access strategies, including direct listings, and address related securities and listing issues.
- Advise on capital-raising alternatives used to fund strategic investments and acquisitions.
- Engage with clients across industries and coordinate with a centralized National Office on sophisticated securities and listing questions.
What You Bring
- At least two years of capital markets experience; the target associate class is third through sixth year.
- Experience representing late-stage private companies in capital markets matters.
- Knowledge of securities transactions and capital-raising approaches in equity or debt markets.
- Familiarity with public-market access strategies, including direct listings, and related listing issues.
- Ability to work with issuers, private equity investors, and investment banks on complex transactions.
- Experience addressing securities issues in dynamic and regulated markets.
