Position overview

Join a healthcare and life sciences regulatory team advising companies and investors on complex reimbursement questions and pivotal corporate transactions. This Redwood City opportunity combines substantive regulatory counseling with hands-on diligence, documentation, and negotiation across a fast-moving sector.

The Work

  • Advise healthcare and life sciences clients on reimbursement compliance, including coding, coverage, and payment considerations for novel products and services.
  • Conduct and help lead regulatory due diligence for emerging-company, private equity, M&A, capital markets, and other corporate transactions, identifying and assessing material regulatory risks.
  • Support deal documentation and negotiate transaction-related agreements, coordinating with corporate colleagues and clients to develop practical solutions.
  • Counsel healthcare providers, life sciences companies, and digital health and technology businesses on regulatory issues affecting their operations and growth.
  • Contribute to fraud and abuse counseling and compliance work, including advice involving compliance programs, audits, and investigations.
  • Work on matters involving reimbursement strategies and regulatory considerations in venture capital investments, joint ventures, affiliations, securities offerings, and financings.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of healthcare regulatory experience.
  • Experience advising on reimbursement, including reimbursement compliance and coding, coverage, and payment for novel products or services.
  • Experience with transactional due diligence, deal documentation, and negotiation in matters such as emerging-company transactions, private equity, M&A, or capital markets.
  • Strong analytical and legal writing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced practice.
  • Experience with fraud and abuse counseling and compliance is preferred.
