Position overview

Our client’s interdisciplinary privacy and cyber team advises organizations across industries on complex data, security, and AI issues. The work spans corporate transactions, commercial agreements, product counseling, and compliance, with meaningful opportunity to drive matters forward.

The Work

  • Advise clients on compliance with privacy, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence laws, including counseling on practical issues arising from evolving technologies.
  • Negotiate privacy, security, and AI provisions in commercial agreements, working through the related legal and business considerations with clients.
  • Handle privacy, cybersecurity, and AI workstreams in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
  • Provide product counseling on data privacy, security, and AI issues connected to clients’ products and technology.
  • Manage multiple matters and deadlines while proactively advancing assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary global practice serving clients of varied sizes and across industries on complex transactional and counseling matters.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of privacy law experience; candidates with approximately four to eight years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience counseling clients on privacy, cybersecurity, and AI compliance issues.
  • Experience negotiating privacy, security, or AI provisions in commercial contracts.
  • Experience handling privacy, cybersecurity, and AI aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A or IPOs.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, together with excellent verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines and to lead matters forward with limited supervision.
  • Aptitude for technology and understanding of how online and AI technologies work are strongly preferred.
  • CIPP certification is a plus.

Estimated base compensation for relevant class years is $310,000–$435,000 based on the 2026 Cravath scale; this estimate is not firm-confirmed compensation.
