Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level litigator for a Wilmington practice handling significant civil disputes in Delaware and courts across the country. The work reaches trial and appellate proceedings and includes a strong emphasis on the Delaware Court of Chancery, with exposure to complex commercial, corporate, and securities matters.

The Work

  • Contribute to civil litigation matters at both trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts around the country.
  • Work on commercial, corporate, and securities disputes, including the defense of class and derivative actions.
  • Support representations of special committees and matters concerning directors’ fiduciary duties.
  • Handle disputes involving federal and state securities fraud claims and bankruptcy litigation.
  • Work on corporate valuation disputes and statutory appraisal matters.
  • Gain exposure to litigation and regulatory issues arising from insurance acquisition transactions.

What You Bring

  • Approximately four years of litigation experience; candidates in the 2020–2022 associate classes are sought.
  • Meaningful litigation experience, particularly in the Delaware Court of Chancery, is of interest.
  • Experience with civil litigation in federal and state courts is relevant to the practice.
  • Background in commercial, corporate, or securities litigation is relevant.
  • Experience with class or derivative actions, fiduciary-duty disputes, securities fraud claims, bankruptcy litigation, valuations, statutory appraisals, or insurance acquisition matters is valuable.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated starting base salary is $310,000–$390,000, with potential eligibility for a discretionary year-end bonus.
