Our client is seeking a Chicago-based real estate associate to work on sophisticated commercial transactions spanning multiple asset classes and transaction types. The practice advises on real property investments around the world, with matters supported by a broad network of more than 50 practices.
The Work
- Contribute to commercial real estate joint ventures, co-investments, and development transactions, working across the deal lifecycle with the real estate team.
- Assist with acquisitions and dispositions of real property and businesses involving real estate assets.
- Work on real estate M&A and private equity transactions, including matters connected to investment in property.
- Support real estate financings and fund formation, addressing the transactional needs of investors and other participants.
- Handle leasing matters and related transactions across office, multifamily, single-family, industrial, logistics, hospitality, data center, and retail assets.
- Work on transactions involving the purchase, sale, construction, financing, development, leasing, management, operation, and other investment in real property.
What You Bring
- One to four years of relevant experience, with candidates from the Class of 2022 or later considered.
- Admission to practice law in Illinois.
- Experience in the real estate practice of a peer firm is preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, and leasing.
- Experience or interest in real estate M&A, private equity transactions, or fund formation is valuable.
- High academic achievement is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The position has a firm-stated starting base salary range of $310,000-$455,000 and may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
