Our client is seeking a junior associate for its Chicago real estate practice to work on sophisticated commercial transactions across a wide range of property types. The group advises on matters around the world and works with a global network of more than 50 practices, offering exposure to varied deal structures and real estate assets.
The Work
- Work on commercial real estate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing matters.
- Contribute to real estate M&A and private equity transactions, collaborating with deal teams on investment and transaction needs.
- Support fund formation matters involving real estate investment strategies.
- Assist with transactions involving the purchase, sale, co-investment, construction, development, financing, management, and operation of real property.
- Gain exposure to projects across office, multifamily, single-family, industrial, logistics, hospitality, data center, and retail asset classes.
- Work with colleagues across the client’s global network of more than 50 practices on real estate transactions around the world.
What You Bring
- Targeted experience level: junior associate, with candidates from the Classes of 2024–2025 sought.
- Admission to practice law in Illinois is required.
- Experience in the real estate practice of a peer firm is preferred.
- A high level of academic achievement is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, or leasing, is relevant to the role.
- Ability to contribute to sophisticated transaction work across multiple real estate asset classes and deal structures.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated starting base salary is $225,000–$235,000, and the role may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
