Position overview

Our client is seeking a corporate associate to join its San Diego practice, working on venture capital and growth equity financings for both companies and investors while advising private companies on day-to-day matters. The role offers substantial responsibility, meaningful client interaction, and the chance to contribute to local and national client teams.

The Work

  • Represent companies and investors in venture capital financings, contributing to transactions from the relevant client perspective.
  • Work on growth equity financings for both company-side and investor-side clients.
  • Provide day-to-day counseling to private companies on ongoing legal and business matters.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects while coordinating with other team members and engaging directly with clients.
  • Contribute to client teams serving local and national matters within a global law firm platform.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of U.S. corporate law experience.
  • Experience at a large law firm or a sophisticated midsize law firm.
  • Significant experience representing both companies and investors in venture capital financings.
  • Significant experience with company-side and investor-side growth equity financings.
  • Experience providing day-to-day counseling to private companies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients, take ownership of projects, and handle significant client interaction.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated salary range is $260,000–$495,000, with actual pay determined by qualifications and relevant experience.
