The Work
- Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and other commercial and strategic transactions.
- Work alongside corporate and transactional teams to identify data-related risks and explain their implications for deal terms and execution.
- Draft and shape data provisions addressing how information is handled and allocated between transaction parties.
- Translate evolving privacy and cybersecurity regulatory issues into clear, practical guidance for deal teams and clients.
- Support transactions involving companies in artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.
What You Bring
- 1–3 years of legal experience with meaningful transactional exposure.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, or technology transactions.
- Knowledge of privacy, data processing, or cybersecurity issues in commercial or strategic transactions.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment about how privacy issues affect an active transaction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
- Regulatory policy or enforcement experience is a plus.
- CIPP certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $225,000–$260,000 based on year classification, with discretionary merit bonuses potentially available.
