Position overview

Our client is seeking a senior transactional tax lawyer in Los Angeles with at least four years of law-firm experience dedicated to transactional tax. The work spans complex domestic and cross-border transactions, investment structures, and business financings.

The Work

  • Advise on tax issues arising in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, helping develop structures and practical solutions for complex deal considerations.
  • Analyze partnership tax matters connected to transactions and investment structures, applying transactional tax judgment to the issues presented.
  • Work on private equity fund formation matters, including tax considerations relevant to fund structures.
  • Advise on tax issues in capital markets transactions and financings, contributing tax analysis across a varied transactional practice.
  • Support clients across a broad range of organizations, including multinational and domestic corporations, financial institutions, private equity funds, joint ventures, emerging companies, SPACs, and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Collaborate with tax lawyers across offices and disciplines on transaction-related tax questions and practical, commercially oriented solutions.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of law-firm experience dedicated to transactional tax matters.
  • Experience advising on domestic and cross-border M&A tax matters.
  • Experience with partnership tax matters and private equity fund formation.
  • Experience with transactional tax issues in capital markets and financings.
  • Ability to analyze complex tax questions and develop practical, commercial solutions for clients.
