Our client is seeking a Senior Corporate & Private Equity Associate with 5–7 years of acquisitions experience to join its private equity transactions practice in Pittsburgh. The group advises private equity firms and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle and across the capital stack, including on acquisitions, financings, and strategic matters.
The Work
- Help lead and execute private equity acquisitions, taking meaningful responsibility for transaction work and contributing to deal progress.
- Advise private equity firms and portfolio companies on mergers and acquisitions and related matters throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Work on financings and matters across the capital stack, alongside the group's M&A work.
- Provide day-to-day strategic counsel to clients in addition to supporting individual transactions.
- Contribute to work involving healthcare private equity, an area of particular strength for the practice.
- Support independent sponsor matters and help cultivate client and investor relationships by identifying opportunities and making relevant connections.
What You Bring
- 5–7 years of experience focused on acquisitions.
- Experience working on private equity transactions and advising corporate or private equity clients.
- Background in M&A transaction execution and familiarity with the private equity investment lifecycle.
- Experience or interest in financings and matters across the capital stack.
- Healthcare private equity or independent sponsor experience is relevant to the group's areas of strength.
- A proactive approach to identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and contributing to client service.
