Our client is seeking an associate with 2–3 years of experience in management-side employment litigation and counseling to join its Employment & Trade Secret group in Seattle. The position involves regular in-person attendance in the Seattle office and a mix of litigation and practical employment advice for fast-growing technology companies.
The Work
- Litigate management-side employment matters, including disputes involving covenants not to compete and trade secrets.
- Advise fast-growing technology company clients on day-to-day employment issues, including terminations, leaves of absence, and reductions in force.
- Assist clients with internal investigations and provide practical guidance on responding to workplace concerns.
- Review and draft employment policies and related materials to support clients’ ongoing workplace needs.
- Advise on employment-related issues arising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
- Work across litigation and counseling matters, communicating with clients about employment risks and practical next steps.
What You Bring
- At least 2–3 years of experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling.
- Experience litigating employment law cases.
- Experience with matters involving covenants not to compete and trade secret disputes.
- Ability to provide day-to-day employment advice, including on terminations, leaves, investigations, reductions in force, and policies.
- Experience advising on employment issues in mergers and acquisitions or other corporate transactions is relevant.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Membership in the Washington Bar is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $235,000–$260,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
