Our client is seeking a finance associate with 3–7 years of experience to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team. The position offers work on creditor- and borrower-side financings, liability management transactions, Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. The role is open across offices, with a preference for New York.
The Work
- Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions and special situations financings, contributing to matters involving complex financing and restructuring needs.
- Work on debtor-in-possession financings in Chapter 11 cases, supporting financing representations during bankruptcy proceedings.
- Assist with bankruptcy exit financings, including matters involving financing arrangements as companies emerge from Chapter 11.
- Contribute to out-of-court restructurings and negotiated liability management matters for financial institution and investment fund clients.
- Work on high-profile, top-of-the-capital-structure representations for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions.
- Gain exposure to both in-court restructuring proceedings and out-of-court transactions across creditor- and borrower-side engagements.
What You Bring
- Three to seven years of finance associate experience; the position is described for law school class years 2019 through 2023.
- Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions.
- Experience with debtor-in-possession financings, bankruptcy exit financings, special situations financings, or a combination of these matters.
- Experience working on Chapter 11 cases and/or out-of-court restructurings.
- Ability to contribute to complex financing and restructuring representations for financial institutions, hedge funds, CLOs or private equity funds.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual salary range is $235,000–$390,000, based on qualifications and operational considerations, with discretionary performance-based bonuses.
