Our client is seeking a finance associate with 3–7 years of experience to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in Denver. The role focuses on sophisticated creditor-side and borrower-side financing and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings. The search is open across offices, with a preference for New York.
The Work
- Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions, contributing to the financing and restructuring work required to execute complex assignments.
- Work on debtor-in-possession financings for clients involved in Chapter 11 proceedings.
- Advise on bankruptcy exit financings, including matters connected to companies emerging from Chapter 11.
- Handle special situations financings for creditors, borrowers, and financial institution clients.
- Contribute to Chapter 11 representations and out-of-court restructurings for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions.
- Participate in high-profile, top-of-the-capital-structure representations across a range of restructuring and finance matters.
What You Bring
- Three to seven years of experience, with significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in restructuring finance matters.
- Experience with liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and/or special situations financings.
- Familiarity with Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.
- Ability to contribute to sophisticated financing and restructuring representations for financial institutions and investment funds.
- Candidates in law school classes 2019 through 2023 are sought.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm-stated annual salary range is $235,000–$390,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
