Our client is seeking a finance associate with 3–7 years of experience to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team. The opportunity involves significant creditor- or borrower-side work across liability management transactions, bankruptcy financings and special situations matters, with exposure to high-profile representations at the top of the capital structure.
The Work
- Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions, contributing to the legal work involved in complex restructuring solutions.
- Advise on debtor-in-possession financings in Chapter 11 cases, working on financing matters within active bankruptcy proceedings.
- Work on bankruptcy exit financings that support companies emerging from Chapter 11.
- Handle special situations financings for creditors or borrowers across restructuring-related mandates.
- Participate in high-profile, top-of-the-capital-structure representations for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds and other financial institutions.
- Work on both Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings, gaining exposure to varied approaches to financial distress and liability challenges.
What You Bring
- 3–7 years of experience as a finance associate, consistent with law school class years 2019 through 2023.
- Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in restructuring or special situations matters.
- Experience with one or more of liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings or special situations financings.
- Experience working on Chapter 11 cases and/or out-of-court restructurings.
- Background representing hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds or other financial institutions is relevant to the client base.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $235,000–$390,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
