Position overview

Our client is seeking a finance associate with 3–7 years of experience to join its Business Restructuring & Reorganization team in Dallas. The position offers work representing creditors and borrowers in complex financing and liability management matters in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.

The Work

  • Represent creditors or borrowers in liability management transactions, contributing to the structuring and execution of complex restructuring-related financings.
  • Work on debtor-in-possession financings, including matters arising in Chapter 11 cases.
  • Contribute to bankruptcy exit financings that support companies emerging from Chapter 11 proceedings.
  • Assist with special situations financings for clients navigating distressed or complex capital structures.
  • Participate in high-profile, top-of-the-capital-structure representations for financial investors and institutions.
  • Work on both in-court Chapter 11 matters and out-of-court restructurings for hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, and other financial institutions.

What You Bring

  • 3–7 years of finance associate experience, with law school class years 2019 through 2023 in view.
  • Significant experience representing creditors or borrowers in restructuring finance matters.
  • Experience with liability management transactions, DIP financings, bankruptcy exit financings, and/or special situations financings.
  • Ability to contribute to complex financing representations in Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court restructurings.
  • Experience with hedge funds, CLOs, private equity funds, or other financial institutions is relevant to the client base and matters.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm states a salary range of $235,000–$390,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations, with discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits including health care, retirement benefits, paid time off, parental leave, basic life insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
