Our client is seeking a mid-level to senior associate with at least three years of experience to join its growing New York real estate practice. The position offers work on complex transactions, meaningful responsibility for managing deal components, and direct interaction with clients.
The Work
- Work on mortgage and mezzanine financings for lenders and borrowers, contributing to transaction teams and independently managing assigned components.
- Advise on real estate acquisitions and dispositions, helping move transactions through their key stages and coordinating assigned work.
- Participate in joint venture deals involving real estate, supporting the transaction team and taking ownership of discrete deal components.
- Work directly with clients, using sound business judgment and clear communication to help address transaction needs.
- Collaborate with collegial, team-oriented attorneys on complex and sophisticated real estate transactions.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience working on real estate transactions.
- Experience on lender- or borrower-side mortgage and mezzanine financings.
- Experience with real estate acquisitions and dispositions and/or joint venture deals.
- Ability to work effectively on transaction teams and independently manage components of one or more transactions.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, with exceptional business acumen and experience working directly with clients.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Currently licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in New York.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated New York salary range is $260,000 to $435,000, commensurate with experience, and eligibility for an hours-based bonus is available.
