Position overview

Our client is seeking mid-level and senior Real Estate Associates with 3–6 years of experience to join a prominent, growing team in New York City. Candidates with strength in one or more real estate transactional areas are encouraged to apply; strong transactional lawyers from other practices will also be considered.

The Work

  • Represent lenders and/or borrowers in mortgage and mezzanine debt matters, contributing to the transactional work from the perspective of the relevant client.
  • Work on joint-venture equity matters, supporting the development and execution of arrangements between real estate partners.
  • Assist with real estate acquisitions and dispositions, including transactional work associated with buying and selling properties.
  • Contribute to real estate development matters, working with the team on transactions connected to development projects.
  • Build a practice around one or more of the team’s core areas, which include debt, joint-venture equity, acquisitions and dispositions, and development.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of experience as a transactional associate, at the mid-level or senior associate level.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: mortgage or mezzanine debt, joint-venture equity, acquisitions and dispositions, or development.
  • Relevant experience may be on the lender or borrower side of mortgage and mezzanine debt matters.
  • Strong transactional experience in a non-real-estate practice may also be considered.
  • A demonstrated interest in professional growth, mentorship, and a positive team culture.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm-stated annual salary range is $260,000–$435,000, with the offer dependent on qualifications and operational considerations.
