Position overview

Our client is seeking junior finance associates to work on general finance matters from its Palo Alto or Los Angeles office. The position offers hands-on involvement in drafting and negotiating key loan documents, with related UCC and corporate work and potential exposure to data center and digital infrastructure matters.

The Work

  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, security agreements, credit agreements, and other loan documents for finance matters.
  • Work through document terms and revisions as part of loan negotiations, applying practical judgment to support transaction progress.
  • Handle UCC-related work connected to financing matters, including issues arising in the preparation and review of loan documentation.
  • Contribute to general corporate work alongside the finance practice, developing experience across related legal and transactional issues.
  • Bring finance experience to matters involving data centers or digital infrastructure where relevant; experience in these areas is a plus.

What You Bring

  • Candidates should be junior associates, with the search focused on the 2023–2025 law school classes.
  • General finance experience is required.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commitment papers, security agreements, credit agreements, and other loan documents is sought.
  • UCC experience and general corporate experience are important capabilities for this position.
  • Strong academic achievement is preferred.
  • Experience at a peer firm is preferred.
  • Experience with data center or digital infrastructure work is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated starting base salary range is $225,000–$260,000, and the position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
