Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of patent litigation experience to join its New York City intellectual property practice. Candidates from all technical disciplines will be considered, with a technical degree or significant experience handling substantive patent issues strongly preferred.
The Work
- Contribute to patent litigation matters, applying prior experience to substantive patent issues.
- Work with a team on patent disputes involving technical subject matter across a range of disciplines.
- Engage with pharmaceutical and/or biologic-related subject matter, with the opportunity to learn the underlying technical context where needed.
- Use clear written and oral communication in support of patent litigation work and collaboration with colleagues.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of experience in patent litigation.
- A technical degree in a field such as chemistry, biology, engineering, or pharmaceutics is strongly preferred; all technical disciplines will be considered.
- Significant experience handling substantive patent issues may be considered, together with the ability to learn pharmaceutical and/or biologic-related subject matter.
- Admission to a state bar is required; New York admission is preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Superior written and oral communication skills and comfort working in a team atmosphere.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm states a salary range of $260,000–$495,000, with actual salary commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
