Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level to senior associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Public M&A team in New York City. The position offers a broad range of public-company M&A work, including transactions on both the buy side and sell side, alongside related securities law matters.

The Work

  • Contribute to public-company M&A transactions for buyers and sellers, participating in matters from across the deal process.
  • Work on related securities law matters arising in connection with public-company transactions.
  • Support a broad mix of M&A and public-company transactions, developing experience across varied deal types and client needs.
  • Work with companies in technology, life sciences, real estate, and financial services through the platform’s M&A practices.
  • Build toward a trusted strategic-advisor role through substantive involvement in transactions and client matters.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of experience in M&A and transactional practice.
  • Experience with public-company M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side matters.
  • Knowledge of securities laws relevant to public-company transactions.
  • Strong transactional capabilities and the ability to contribute across a broad range of M&A matters.
  • Experience with technology and/or life sciences companies is a plus.
