Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid/senior associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Public M&A team in Boston. The role offers work on public-company M&A transactions and related securities-law matters, with exposure to a broad range of industries and opportunities to develop as a strategic advisor to clients.

The Work

  • Contribute to public-company M&A transactions on both the sell side and the buy side, supporting matters across a broad range of deal types.
  • Work on related securities-law issues arising in connection with public-company transactions.
  • Participate in transactions involving companies in Technology, Life Sciences, Real Estate, and Financial Services.
  • Build experience across a broad range of M&A and public-company matters, developing a versatile transactional skill set.
  • Work toward serving as a trusted strategic advisor to clients on their M&A matters.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of experience in a legal practice, with relevant M&A and transactional experience.
  • Experience focused on M&A transactions involving public companies is sought.
  • Experience on both sell-side and buy-side transactions is relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of securities laws related to public-company M&A transactions.
  • Ability to contribute to a broad range of public-company and M&A matters.
  • Experience with companies in the Technology and/or Life Sciences industries is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

An estimated base range of $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath scale, is provided for context and is not firm-stated compensation.
