- Evaluate AI-assisted and technology-generated research and draft content for fabricated, unsupported, inaccurate, incomplete, or misattributed authorities, quotations, and factual assertions.
- Partner with litigation teams to support filing requirements and deadlines, and conduct quality-control reviews before submissions to federal, state, and administrative courts.
- Use document comparison and proofreading tools to identify revisions, inconsistencies, and formatting discrepancies; additional assignments may include docket tracking, redactions, production quality checks, and court-activity monitoring.
What You Bring
- At least five years of law-firm cite-checking experience, preferably at a mid-sized or large firm, with demonstrated experience proofreading and cite-checking complex legal documents.
- Strong working knowledge of The Bluebook, legal terminology, legal research methods, court procedures, and citation requirements.
- Ability to verify legal authorities and supporting materials using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, and PACER.
- Advanced proofreading and editing skills, including mastery of English grammar and punctuation and exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing AI-assisted legal content and identifying fabricated, hallucinated, incomplete, inaccurate, or unsupported citations and factual claims.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, electronic filing systems, document management systems, and legal document comparison tools.
