The Work

  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of bespoke power purchase agreements, energy service agreements, and complex interconnection arrangements for developers, utilities, and corporate buyers.
  • Advise clients on electric-market design and participation in RTOs and ISOs, including capacity-market mechanisms and policies affecting large-load and generator interconnection.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and regulatory filings from inception through completion with minimal partner supervision.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating power purchase agreements, energy service agreements, or interconnection arrangements.
  • Familiarity with RTO/ISO markets and issues involving capacity, large-load and generator interconnection, or market participation.
  • Strong analytical, writing, negotiation, and client-service skills, with the judgment to lead sophisticated matters.
  • Collaborative, self-directed approach and interest in developing client relationships and contributing to practice growth.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission, or eligibility for admission by waiver, in Washington.
