Our client is seeking a mid-level or senior associate with at least three years of experience to join its Project Development & Finance practice in Houston. The role involves advising U.S. and international energy and infrastructure clients on project development transactions within a globally active practice representing both lenders and sponsors.
The Work
- Advise energy and infrastructure clients on U.S. and international project development transactions, contributing to matters from early issue-spotting through execution.
- Assess proposed transactions for potential pitfalls and help develop practical solutions that support project objectives and deal completion.
- Assist in structuring project financings, drawing on market experience to address the priorities of sponsors and lenders.
- Work on matters involving project lenders and sponsors, gaining insight into the considerations affecting both sides of a transaction.
- Collaborate with regulatory and industry-focused colleagues to identify issues and opportunities, including those related to the energy transition.
- Contribute to complex project financings across industrial sectors and geographies, in coordination with a practice that executes more than 100 such financings annually.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience, consistent with a mid-level or senior associate profile.
- Experience representing U.S. and/or international energy and infrastructure clients on project development transactions.
- Knowledge of project development and project finance matters.
- Ability to assess transaction risks and help formulate workable solutions.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in transaction structuring and advising on the interests of project sponsors and/or lenders.
- Ability to work with colleagues across regulatory and industry-focused areas on complex matters.

Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base salary range is $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 scale and may vary by experience and class year; discretionary bonuses may be available.
