Position overview

Our client is seeking a senior attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its Venture Capital Debt practice within a broader Debt Finance group in Los Angeles. The practice represents borrowers and their investors in venture debt, growth capital, and similar financing transactions for companies at different stages of development.

The Work

  • Represent borrowers and their investors in venture debt, growth capital, and similar financing transactions for early- and late-stage companies.
  • Negotiate and draft loan agreements and related financing documents, taking an active role in moving transactions toward completion.
  • Advise on transaction structures and support deal execution from financing discussions through delivery of customary closing materials.
  • Work with attorneys across Emerging Companies, Life Sciences, M&A, and Venture Capital practices on matters involving the broader finance group.
  • Contribute to internal forms initiatives, helping prepare and maintain forms used in venture debt and related financing work.
  • Use AI-driven models to support markups of term sheets, credit agreements, collateral documents, certificates, and customary credit deliverables.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of experience handling venture debt, growth capital, or similar financing transactions.
  • Experience representing borrowers and/or their investors in financing matters for early- and late-stage companies.
  • Ability to negotiate and draft loan and related financing documents.
  • Knowledge of transaction structuring and the execution of debt financing deals.
  • Experience with or the ability to work on term sheets, credit agreements, collateral documents, certificates, and customary credit deliverables.
  • Interest in contributing to forms development and using AI-driven models to support document markup workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated compensation is $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
