Position overview

Our client is seeking a Private Equity M&A Senior Associate with 6+ years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in Los Angeles. The position offers work across a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, with opportunities to collaborate on deal teams and independently manage components of transactions.

The Work

  • Represent clients in mergers and acquisitions, contributing to transaction execution and managing assigned components independently.
  • Work on leveraged recapitalizations, coordinating transaction work and helping advance matters alongside deal teams.
  • Support growth equity transactions, applying corporate and transactional experience to investment matters.
  • Advise on venture capital transactions and related exits across a range of deal types.
  • Handle equity compensation matters as part of the group's broader corporate and transactional practice.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external clients and counsel through proactive communication and matter management.

What You Bring

  • At least 6 years of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, or related corporate and transactional work.
  • Experience with a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience with leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of transaction teams and independently manage components of transactions.
  • Proactive approach, strong business sense, and stellar communication skills.
  • Ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.
