Our client is seeking a senior associate with 6+ years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in San Francisco. The role involves a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, with opportunities to contribute as part of a team and independently manage components of transactions.
The Work
- Work on mergers and acquisitions and manage assigned components of transactions, coordinating with deal teams and relevant internal and external participants.
- Contribute to leveraged recapitalizations, including taking ownership of transaction components as appropriate to the matter.
- Support growth equity transactions, working collaboratively while managing assigned work independently.
- Advise on venture capital transactions and related corporate matters.
- Work on transaction exits, coordinating deal responsibilities and communications across the relevant parties.
- Handle equity compensation matters as part of a broad corporate and transactional practice.
- Manage relationships and communications with internal and external clients and counsel throughout transaction work.
What You Bring
- At least 6 years of experience in private equity, M&A, or related corporate and transactional practice.
- Experience with a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Specific experience with leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, and venture capital transactions.
- Experience with exits and equity compensation matters.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently manage components of transactions.
- Proactive approach, strong business sense, and stellar communication skills.
- Ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.
