Our client is seeking a Private Equity M&A Senior Associate with 6+ years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in Santa Monica. This role offers a broad corporate and transactional practice, combining collaborative deal-team work with the opportunity to manage transaction components independently.
The Work
- Work on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, contributing to transaction execution and taking ownership of assigned deal components.
- Advise on leveraged recapitalizations, coordinating transaction workstreams with internal teams, clients, and opposing counsel.
- Support growth equity transactions, helping manage the corporate and transactional issues that arise throughout a deal.
- Work on venture capital financings and related transactions, applying sound business judgment to client objectives and execution.
- Handle matters involving exits and equity compensation as part of a varied private equity and corporate practice.
- Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships through proactive communication and effective coordination of transaction work.
What You Bring
- At least 6 years of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, or related corporate transactional work.
- Experience across a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Specific experience with leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, and venture capital transactions.
- Experience advising on exits and equity compensation matters.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a deal team while independently managing components of transactions.
- Strong business sense, proactive approach, and stellar communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base compensation is approximately $390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
