Our client is seeking an associate with 4–5 years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in Boston. The role includes work across a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, with opportunities to contribute as part of deal teams and independently manage components of transactions.
The Work
- Work on mergers and acquisitions for private equity clients, contributing to transaction execution and managing assigned components independently.
- Participate in leveraged recapitalizations, coordinating transaction work with internal teams and external counsel.
- Support growth equity transactions, helping move matters forward through careful execution and communication.
- Work on venture capital transactions and exits, gaining exposure to a range of corporate and transactional matters.
- Handle equity compensation matters as part of the group's broader transactional practice.
- Manage defined portions of transactions while collaborating with deal teams and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external clients and counsel.
What You Bring
- Four to five years of experience in corporate and transactional practice.
- Experience working on transaction teams and independently managing components of transactions.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience with leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital transactions, exits, and equity compensation.
- Proactive approach and strong business sense.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.

Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base compensation is $310,000–$365,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
