Position overview

Our client is seeking a class of 2025 associate to join its Private Equity group in Santa Monica. This opportunity centers on private M&A and growth equity transactions and calls for an associate who can contribute to diligence, coordinate transaction workstreams, and communicate proactively with clients and counsel.

The Work

  • Support private M&A and growth equity transactions, contributing to the work required to advance matters from diligence through closing.
  • Participate in transaction diligence and develop a working understanding of the issues and information involved in evaluating a deal.
  • Coordinate ancillary workstreams and help keep transaction tasks, participants, and timelines organized.
  • Help organize signing and closing processes, including coordinating the steps needed to bring a transaction to completion.
  • Communicate proactively with internal and external clients and counsel, helping manage working relationships as matters progress.

What You Bring

  • Class of 2025 associate with approximately one year of experience.
  • Some experience with, or a demonstrated interest in, private M&A transactions.
  • Some experience with, or a demonstrated interest in, growth equity transactions.
  • Basic understanding of the diligence process and ancillary transaction workstreams.
  • Basic understanding of how to organize a signing and closing process.
  • Good judgment, proactive communication, and the ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated base compensation is approximately $225,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
