Our client is seeking a class of 2025 junior associate to join its Private Equity practice in New York City. The role is focused on private M&A and growth equity transactions and calls for a basic understanding of diligence, ancillary workstreams, and the signing and closing process.
The Work
- Support private M&A and growth equity transactions, contributing to the legal workstreams that move deals forward.
- Assist with transaction diligence and develop a practical understanding of how diligence findings fit into the broader deal process.
- Work on ancillary transaction workstreams alongside the principal M&A process.
- Help organize matters through signing and closing, coordinating the process and keeping transaction steps on track.
- Communicate proactively and manage relationships with internal and external clients and counsel throughout the transaction.
What You Bring
- Class of 2025 associate candidate.
- Some experience with, or a demonstrated interest in, private M&A and growth equity transactions.
- Basic understanding of the diligence process and ancillary transaction workstreams.
- Familiarity with organizing a signing and closing process.
- Sound judgment and the ability to communicate proactively.
- Ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships effectively.
