Our client is seeking an associate with at least three years of experience to join its private equity group in Boston. Strong asset management M&A experience is required, and experience with GP stakes transactions is particularly valued. The role offers responsibility across a range of corporate and transactional matters.
The Work
- Work on asset management mergers and acquisitions, including GP stakes transactions, collaborating with deal teams and independently managing assigned transaction components.
- Contribute to mergers and acquisitions from transaction planning through execution, coordinating work and helping advance matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support leveraged recapitalizations, taking ownership of assigned workstreams and communicating effectively with clients and counsel.
- Advise on growth equity and venture capital transactions, including investments and exits, as part of a broader corporate and transactional practice.
- Handle equity compensation matters alongside private equity and corporate transactions.
- Manage internal and external client and counsel relationships with proactive communication and sound business judgment.
What You Bring
- At least three years of associate-level experience in private equity or related corporate transactional work.
- Strong experience working on asset management mergers and acquisitions.
- Experience with GP stakes transactions is preferred.
- Broad background in corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and leveraged recapitalizations.
- Experience with growth equity and venture capital transactions and exits, and equity compensation matters.
- Ability to work collaboratively on teams while independently managing components of transactions.
- Proactive approach, strong business sense, stellar communication skills, and ability to manage internal and external client and counsel relationships.
