Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Debt Finance group in Los Angeles. The position involves representing private equity sponsors, banks, and/or private credit lenders in financing transactions and preparing and negotiating core deal documentation.

The Work

  • Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and/or private credit lenders in term and revolving loan facility transactions.
  • Support debt financings for leveraged buyouts, including the negotiation and documentation of related facilities.
  • Work on acquisition financings and corporate growth financings for sponsor and lender clients.
  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents.
  • Engage with clients on financing documentation and transaction-related matters, contributing across the deal process.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of experience in debt finance or a closely related practice.
  • Experience representing private equity sponsors, banks, and/or private credit lenders in financing transactions.
  • Experience with term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and/or corporate growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate commitment papers and credit agreements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating collateral documents.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range is $260,000–$390,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
